After the new clutch and some misfire issues last year, I put a new coil pair in. I haven't seen a check engine light or felt misfire issues since. It probably hasn't gotten much mileage this year since I'm not driving it to work and neither is wifey, but it's the vehicle of choice on mild weekends for jaunts around town.
I still haven't fixed the fender. After an $800 to repair the Subaru's bumper after getting tagged on some nasty ice that forms on the north side of tall apartment buildings, I expected something less than $1600 for a fender and bumper on the miata. We still had some expenses from moving etc. I hope to get to it soon. The real question is what to do with the rest of the car...the paint is a little rough.
...IIRC part of the work to end the misfire included spraying some not-carb cleaner into the throttle body to clean it and the sensor that will be damaged if you use carb-cleaner. I ripped a gasket taking it apart, so I replaced that. The cars been running fine, so I never got to the injectors.
